Dr. Sleeper of New York Plastic Surgery Center has successfully completed the recertification exam by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  He obtained 100% score in the score curriculum section of the exam covering all aspects of plastic and reconstructive, hand surgery and has obtained score of 94% covering all aspects of the sub-specialty of cosmetic surgery. 

The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. 

Dr. Sleeper has been practicing in the Mohawk Valley since 1989. He is a member of many prestigious regional and national societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by having met the society’s stringent requirements of added qualifications to perform cosmetic surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons by having met the college’s membership requirements of ethical fitness and professional proficiency. 

Dr. Sleeper practices at the New York Plastic Surgery Center which is certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities by having met strict national standards for outpatient surgical safety standards providing reassurance, safety and quality of all aspects of office outpatient surgical surgery.  The New York Plastic Surgery Center has met the strictest national standards for equipment, operating safety, physical plant, personnel and surgeon credentialing. 

Dr. Sleeper has been on staff at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center since 1989. 

Dr. Sleeper is also a member of the New York Regional Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Lipoplasty Society of North America and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. 

Dr. Sleeper specializes in plastic and hand surgery, cosmetic surgery of the nose, face, eyes, breasts, and abdomen and hair transplants. 

His interest in medicine started as an Emergency Medical Technician volunteer as a member of the National Ski Patrol and continued volunteer efforts as the Assistant Director, at the University at Albany, ambulance service.  During his college summers, he was employed by the City of New York as an ambulance EMT and as a Counselor of the New York State Division of youth helping juvenile delinquents. 

Dr, Sleeper resides locally with his wife Cathy, of 18 years and their four children.
